Frequently Asked Questions

What to expect when you visit Alleve Animal Hospital.

What can I expect on my visit to your hospital?

A very clean hospital, courteous and competent staff members, and written estimates for your approval before treatment is started.

What services are offered?

Vaccinations, bathing, nail trimming, medical and surgical services, digital radiographs, specialty and prescription foods, and flea and tick products. See our Services page for details.

How do I get my pet ready for surgery or hospitalization?

All pets must be flea-free and should not be given any food after midnight the night before the scheduled surgery.

Are walk-ins accepted?

Walk-ins are welcome and will be seen at the earliest possible time, but pre-scheduled appointments will be attended to first.

What are drop-offs?

A drop-off allows you to bring your pet in at any time during office hours. Your pet stays at the hospital while you go about your business, and the doctor takes care of any examinations, vaccines or other necessary treatment. You then pick up your pet later in the day at a time agreed upon when you drop your pet off.

What if I cannot make my appointment?

There is no charge for cancelling an appointment, but we would appreciate it if you would call and cancel at the earliest possible time.

What if I have an emergency with my pet?

Call us as soon as you find the problem and stay calm. If the hospital is open you will be given advice over the phone regarding the next steps.

If you have an emergency after our office hours, contact an emergency facility. You can try Inland Valley Emergency Pet Clinic in Upland at (909) 931-7871. Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 7:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

How do I pay?

Checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, CareCredit and cash are all accepted methods of payment.
